Technicum School Watch

A unique masterpiece created by the watchmaker A. Aubry during his final exam at the Technicum, this timepiece is probably one of the most beautiful vintage chronographs featuring the renowned Valjoux 88 movement. It boasts the same case as the iconic Rolex Jean-Claude Killy chronograph.

Movement:
This watch is equipped with a column-wheel Valjoux 88 movement, which was highly complex for its time. In addition to the hour, minute, and second displays, the movement features a moonphase complication, a full calendar, and a day/month display in the upper middle window. The date is indicated by a dedicated central hand. The chronograph includes 30-minute and 12-hour counters, with two additional pushers for easy adjustment of the date, month, day, and moonphase. It features a Glucydur balance wheel and a Breguet hairspring.

The movement itself is a true work of art. The hand-finished beveled edges, Perlage decoration, Côtes de Genève finishing, and finely brushed chronograph steel parts further elevate its craftsmanship
